
Edison Williams is on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team at Tyson Foods, one of the world’s largest food companies and a recognized leader in protein. Edison reports to the Chief Diversity Officer at Tyson Foods. In his role, Edison is responsible for helping design, implement and measure Tyson’s new DE&I strategy. Additional responsibilities include managing several of Tyson’s Business Resource Groups, internal business units, and key relationships with national nonprofits.
Prior to joining Tyson Foods, Edison served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Ozarks Community Hospital. He also served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program Manager at the University of Arkansas School of Law. Edison is passionate about being an agent of positive change and helping others maximize their potential. He is motivated by the field of leadership and the opportunity leaders have to
create a culture of belonging and inclusive excellence through collaboration, compassion, and progression along the cultural competence continuum.
Edison is a veteran of the United States Navy and Marine Corps and faithfully served our country from 1985 to 2005. He served 10 years in the enlisted ranks and 10 years as a commissioned Naval Officer. He re-careered from the Navy at the rank of Lieutenant, as a Navy Supply Corps Officer. In addition, Edison has a Bachelor’s’ Degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
