Michelle is Crafton Tull’s Fort Smith office Vice President of Infrastructure and an experienced civil engineer. Prior to this, she was the Fort Smith Utility Department Deputy Director of Engineering leading a team of more than 30 members across five divisions and working to meet annual consent decree requirements. She is a 2019 Leadership Fort Smith graduate and is active in the local community. Her specialized experience includes sanitary sewer assessment and remediation, mainline water extensions, water and wastewater asset mapping, and modeling. In addition to her water and wastewater experience, Michelle has lead roadway improvements and drainage design projects.
Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. In 2020, she graduated with an MBA through Webster University.
Michelle grew up in Washington State and married her high school sweetheart, entering a life of military commitment and support. They moved several times, enjoyed a three and a half year assignment in Italy, and finally settled in Arizona. Her son, Angelo, was born in 2008 and soon after her husband Leon was deployed to Iraq for 1 year with the Army Reserves. In 2016, Michelle’s family moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, when her husband accepted a promotion and Group Command in the Air National Guard. Leon is a 2018 Leadership Arkansas alumni and has just recently been promoted Brig Gen and Commander of the Arkansas Air National Guard.
Michelle loves to travel, enjoys cooking, painting, and crafts. Some of her favorite activities include scuba diving, snorkeling, and skiing.
