Kyle Coggins is a born and raised Arkansan. Shortly after graduating from Mountain Home high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and in 2006 was selected to serve in the Marine Corps elite Scout Sniper program. During his tenure, he served two combat deployments and was responsible for planning and leading over 60 clandestine sniper missions.
After the Marine Corps, Kyle enrolled in the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. In 2013, he graduated with a degree in international relations with a minor in middle eastern studies. He was nominated for Who’s Who Among College Students worldwide and nominated twice by the University of Arkansas for Academic excellence.
In 2014, he began his career in the natural gas industry in Arkansas with what was formally Source Gas and now Black Hills Energy. Currently, Kyle is a damage prevention supervisor responsible for Black Hills Energy Arkansas’ damage prevention program while also holding the roll as an operations supervisor.
Kyle is very engaged in his industry and serves on the Arkansas 811 Board of Directors and chairs the legislative committee. He serves as the president of the Arkansas Common Ground alliance, president of the NWA Damage Prevention Alliance, and was formally the Vice Chair of the Arkansas Gas Association.
In his spare time, he spends his time with his wife and three daughters. You can routinely find him and his family on a hiking trail, swimming, or on a softball field. Kyle also loves razorback baseball, fishing and is an avid runner.
