John Scherrey received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas, where he majored in Marketing. Upon graduation in 2007, he went to work for Centennial Bank in their loan operations where he spent three years as a Loan Documentation Specialist.
In 2011, John began working as a Commercial Loan Officer at Centennial Bank where he was responsible for building and growing a loan portfolio in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. In early 2019, John was promoted to Chief Lending Officer of the Conway Region of Centennial Bank. He now has a wide range of duties as leader of the Conway Region’s overall loan portfolio. He works with management to set policies and procedures regarding lending activities, ensure adherence to federal regulation and establish goals for long-term portfolio growth.
John received a graduate degree from The Graduate School of Bank at Louisiana State University in 2018. He is a 2015 graduate from the Faulkner County Leadership Institute. He currently serves as a board member for the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and formerly served as a board member for the Faulkner County Boys and Girls Club and St. Joseph Catholic School of Conway. John is actively involved in his community volunteering at his church, local schools and non-profits. He and his wife, Donna, reside in Conway Arkansas with their three children, Savannah, Lilah and John Martin.
