Shelley Short
Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance
Shelley Short, IOM joined the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation of Clark County as president and CEO in September 2022. Before her role at the Alliance, she served as vice president of programs and partnerships for the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/AIA, and as executive director of Arkansas Economic Developers and Chamber Executives. Shelley began her economic development career at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission in 2006 where she held a series of progressive roles finishing her tenure as the agency’s director of marketing in 2015. A native Arkansan, Shelley grew up in central Arkansas and holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Management from Regent University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a member of the International Economic Development Council, the Southern Economic Development Council, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organization Management. Shelley resides in Arkadelphia and is mom to Reagann, a student-athlete at Ouachita Baptist University.
