Landon Downing serves as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer for Citizens Bank. As a community banker, he takes pride in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the state. And on behalf of the bank, he is heavily involved in community development initiatives.
Landon joined the Citizens Bank team as a Retail Sales Manager in January 2017, later serving as the bank’s Treasury Management Officer for business customers across north Arkansas.
He is a 2013 graduate of Lyon College, where he worked for 3 years in Enrollment Services prior to joining the bank.
Actively engaged in the community, Landon is a 2016 Leadership Batesville graduate. He serves as a City Planning and Zoning Commissioner and Chairman of the IMPACT Foundation Board. He also serves on the boards of Woodlawn Inc. and Batesville Downtown Foundation.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Landon spends much of his free time gravel cycling, caving and rock climbing. A member of the Nomads Cave Rescue Team, he has participated in two official cave rescues within Arkansas. Since 2013, the Nomads have developed and managed Jamestown Crag, a rock-climbing destination near Batesville that is frequented by visitors from all across the United States.
He and his wife Madelyn are active members of Compass Church and recently welcomed the birth of their first child, Parker.
