Carol Vella is the Associate Director, Marketing – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Walmart. At Walmart, she leads DEI strategy related to external marketing communications and internal best practices for the marketing department, such as recruiting and training. Outside of work, she serves as the Executive Co-Chair of the Northwest Arkansas NextUp (Network of Executive Women) Region, as a founding member of the City of Bentonville Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce, a respite foster parent and a refugee co-sponsor. This year, she is running for Justice of the Peace in District 8 of Benton County in the November 8th election.
Originally from St. Louis, Carol moved to NWA 11 years ago. She and her husband, two daughters and dog have made NWA their home by diving into as many community events, teams and local activities as possible.
