Commercial real estate and investment specialist Heather Talley has carved a path in the real estate industry by identifying the needs of her clients and providing innovative and sustainable solutions that satisfy a diverse market and client mix. Heather’s industry knowledge, on-the-job experience, innovative approach to problem solving, and insatiable hunger for success have been instrumental in creating a diverse skill set that has proven invaluable to her clients.
Heather is a graduate of Arkansas State University (A-State) where she obtained both a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. During her studies at A-State, she served as a university ambassador (selected by the admissions department), spirit leader, philanthropist, and member of various organizations in the Neil Griffin College of Business. Heather’s educational focus in management, marketing, statistics, logistics and civic service have led to a fruitful career in marketing.
As director of marketing for Abilities Unlimited, a regional non-profit organization for individuals with intellectual disabilities, Heather served the northeast region of Arkansas in these professional roles for seven years. Experience in merchandizing, logistics, inventory controls, executive management, production system design, and a heavy concentration in marketing, provided industry specific knowledge that was essential in growing the organization; these factors have also proven to be relevant and invaluable in her real estate career.
In 2016, Heather transitioned from the non-profit sector to commercial real estate. Just six months after receiving her Arkansas real estate license, she began the intense two-year journey to obtain the prestigious designation of certified commercial investment member (CCIM). In 2018, Heather was officially inducted as a CCIM designee. In the same year, Heather obtained an associate broker real estate license in Mississippi and a salesperson real estate license in Tennessee. As her real estate career progressed, so did her industry knowledge and hands-on experience in the field; Heather is engaged in all facets of commercial real estate including investments, construction and development, building client portfolios, multi-state representation, leasing and property acquisition and disposal.
Ms. Talley’s professional associations include Real Estate Sales Professional (RESP) certification, REALTOR®, CCIM designee, CCIM Arkansas chapter member, CCIM Memphis Metro chapter member, Brookhaven, Mississippi Chamber of Commerce member, Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce member, Northeast Arkansas Board of Realtors (NEABOR) member and National Association of Realtors (NAR) membership. She is also a 2012 graduate of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Jonesboro program.
Heather’s passion for people is the driving force behind her strong work ethic, relentless pursuit to exceed expectation and moral compass that guides her professional path. Whether it is helping a local “mom-and-pop” business locate the perfect restaurant space, negotiating with national retailers on market expansion, strategically seeking solid investment opportunities for client portfolios, or working side-by-side with contractors on a build-to-suit project, Heather fully invests in her clients and real estate projects.
