
Erin Cullum Marcussen joined Southwest Power Pool, Inc. (SPP) in July 2010. Since June 2016, she has served as the Manager of Compliance with the responsibility for managing SPP’s compliance program with the federal North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) regulations applicable to electric utilities, including standards on cyber security, critical infrastructure, real-time operations, and long-term planning. As Manager of Compliance, Erin is responsible for managing all aspects of the SPP’s compliance program, and ensuring SPP’s Internal Compliance Program is effectively implemented in order to achieve and maintain compliance with existing and future NERC Standards. In addition, she manages SPP’s compliance-monitoring and enforcement regulatory activities and its internal corrective action and self-reporting program. She is a member of the Independent System Operator/Regional Transmission Organization Council Compliance Working Group, and will assume the role of Chair in 2021. Prior to assuming her current role, Erin served SPP as Senior Attorney where her work focused on state and federal regulatory matters, regulatory outreach, seams-related matters, human resources, and other corporate legal support. Erin is a recipient of the SPP President’s Award and serves on the SPP 401K Committee. Prior to joining SPP, Erin was an attorney with Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP where she focused primarily on municipal bonds and public finance.
Erin received her Juris Doctorate, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Arkansas in 2004, where she was awarded the Pearson Fellowship. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas in 2001.
Erin is a member of the Board of Trustees for Pulaski Academy, and serves as the Secretary of the Board. She and her husband are chairing the 2022 Arkansas Heart Association Central Arkansas Heart Walk. In addition, Erin previously served on the Board of Directors for Women and Children First, the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Little Rock, and is a past president of Arkansas Arts Center Contemporaries Advisory Council. Erin was honored as a 2014 Finest Honoree at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Taste of the Finest.
