
Bruce Jones is a native Arkansan who lives in Hot Springs, AR. He is currently the Vice President of Casino Operation at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. Prior to joining Oaklawn in 2008, Jones was Director of Business Development for the EAST Initiative, a national educational-technology non-profit organization; and before that, served as Chairman and Instructor of the Engineering and Computer Science Department at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Memphis, and an MBA and Masters of Management and Leadership from Webster University in St. Louis.
Outside of Oaklawn, Jones serves as the 2021 Chairman of the Hot Springs Chamber Board of Directors. He is also currently on the State Board of Directors for the American Red Cross and the Board of Directors for Healthy Connections Community Health Centers of Arkansas. Bruce and his wife Theresa, who teaches Pre-K, have three children, BJ, Nicholas and Erica and attend Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
One of Bruce’s passions is teaching and educating students. He has taught courses part-time as an Adjunct Instructor of Business Management at Henderson State University – Hot Springs campus.
