Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Rusty Meeks is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Communications. In 2011, he graduated from Major League Scouting School. He graduated from Pulaski Academy having played varsity baseball all four years.
Meeks has worked in many different areas of professional baseball, including scouting, sales and marketing, merchandise, licensing and management. Meeks first job out of college was as an associate scout for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2011, Meeks was hired as an account executive for the Arkansas Travelers Baseball Club. In 2012, he was promoted to Director of Merchandise and in 2016, he was promoted to his current position, Assistant General Manager.
He oversees all sales including groups, tickets, suite leases and sponsorships. Meeks also is in charge of licensing, merchandise and dealing with MLB personnel during the season. Additionally, he is the Director of the Arkansas Travelers Youth Foundation which was formed in early 2020.
He is actively involved with his local church, Immanuel Baptist Church, along with Baseball Chapel, an affiliation of Major League Baseball. Rusty enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, golfing and, of course, being an avid Razorbacks and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He lives in Little Rock with his wife Jessica and daughters Abigail and Maggie Ruth.
