Hayden Shurgar, a partner at Wright Lindsey Jennings in Little Rock, has an active litigation practice and focuses on defending medical providers in malpractice and professional liability claims. She also advises healthcare providers, large and small, on issues related to compliance, Stark I and II and Anti-Kickback compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and other regulatory issues. Shurgar completed certifications as a Certified HIPAA Professional and Certified HIPAA Security Specialist and provides HIPAA training and review of HIPAA policies and procedures for clients.
Shurgar is a former Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 6th Judicial District of Arkansas where she handled a wide variety of cases.
Shurgar is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and earned her J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law.
Recognition
In 2018, Shurgar was named a “Woman to Watch” by Soiree Magazine. She has also been named a “Rising Star” by Mid-South Super Lawyers in the field of Healthcare Law since 2015. Shurgar is a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

She is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, Pulaski County Bar Association, American Association of Women Lawyers, Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
Shurgar serves as a member of the Historic Arkansas Museum Foundation Board and also works with various non-profits including ACCESS.
