Dr. Deaundra Fleming Rhodes is a native Arkansan whose pre-college education was received in the Pulaski County Special and Little Rock School Districts. As early as junior high school her leadership abilities were recognized as an active member and officer of several school organizations, a peer tutor and a Senior Girl Scout.
Dr. Rhodes received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, her Masters of Arts in Public Administration from the George H. Walker School of Business and Technology, Webster University and her Doctoral Degree in Education from Walden University.
Dr. Rhodes has acquired over 20 years of administrative experience in the field of higher education. She has served as Director of the Ronald McNair Scholars Program and the Campus Service Work Education Program with much success, having on average a 90% participation and completion rate for program participants. Prior to that she served as Pre-College Coordinator & Advisor/Little Rock Coordinator for the Arkansas Boys and Girls Club. She is currently the Campus Director of Webster University overseeing both the Little Rock and Jacksonville campuses.
Other educational-related activities have included serving as a Committee Member for the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and as a member of Leadership Pine Bluff with the Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce.
Her favorite activities include teaching dance, karaoke, traveling and eating seafood. She is the mother of two: a medical student at UAMS and a middle-schooler at E-Stem Village.
Dr. Rhodes has a passion for ensuring that students of all races, cultures and socio-economic levels complete their college studies and become thriving contributors to our society.
