Lawren Wilcox is a Business Team Leader/Partner with Garver, LLC (Little Rock, Arkansas). After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1990, Lawren worked as a bridge design engineer with the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) until 1998. In 1998 he accepted a position with Jacobs (formerly Carter Burgess), a consulting firm in Little Rock, where he served as a design engineer and project manager for 13 years. Since 2012, Lawren has been in his current position with Garver as a Business Team Leader in Little Rock, becoming a partner in 2013.
Lawren has been involved in numerous infrastructure projects in Arkansas and surrounding states. He currently serves the role as lead bridge engineer on a program management team which oversees the planning, procurement, design, and construction phases of ArDOT’s $630 million design-build 30 Crossing project. He also currently serves as Project Manager on the $350 million Bayou Meto Irrigation Project. Previously, Lawren also served as lead bridge engineer on ArDOT’s $77 million I-49 widening project (Porter Rd. to Van Asche Dr.) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Lawren has been active in professional organizations, including the National Society of Professional Engineers (Arkansas Chapter), and was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers in 2017. He currently serves as an officer on the Big Dam Bridge Foundation Board, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the use, support and preservation of the Big Dam Bridge for the advancement of health, fitness, cultural, and recreational activities in Arkansas. Lawren also spent 4 years as a volunteer at YMCA of Metropolitan Little Rock.
Lawren currently lives in Little Rock and has been married to Ellen for 20 years and has two daughters, Mallory (19) and Katie (15).
