Kendra Akin Jones practices as Senior Council in the Law Department for Fortune 100, food and industry leading Tyson Foods, Inc. Specific duties include supporting all areas of the business related to the environment, sustainability and animal well-being. These are integral components of Tyson’s strategic purpose of “Raising the world’s expectations for how much good food can do.” Prior to joining Tyson Kendra was Director and Senior Counsel managing Litigation for Windstream Services, LLC a Fortune 500 telecommunications company located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Kendra started her legal career in the Arkansas Attorney Generals’ Office under Governor Mike Beebe and then Attorney General Dustin McDaniel. During her time at the Attorney General’s Office she ascended to the position of Senior Assistant Attorney General for the Environmental Division of Public Protection. In this role she worked on many issues vital to the State and gained substantial experience.
Kendra is a native of Danville, Arkansas and attended the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas where she received Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Biology. She then received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas. She is licensed to practice in Arkansas, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and is a member of the bar of United States Supreme Court. Kendra is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and the Association of Corporate Counsel. She and her husband Ben live in Springdale and have two daughters, Lauren (9) and Madeline (6).
