
Kelsey Kelton serves as a Regional Manager for Community Development with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC). She is the primary point of contact in the agency for all community and economic development efforts within the 18-county Northwest Arkansas region. Her role includes developing and maintaining strong relationships with elected officials and community leaders, along with various organizations and agencies that focus on community and economic development. She is a resource to the region, providing critical information and resources that address economic development issues.
Prior to working at AEDC, Kelsey worked in western Arkansas as a Field Representative for Senator John Boozman, and in the housing and healthcare industries. Kelsey is a first-generation college graduate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an interest in city and urban planning.
A native Arkansan, Kelsey is very committed to supporting Arkansas. These efforts include: serving on the “Future Fort Smith” Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee; supporting Arkansas Special Olympics; serving on the board for the Interstate 49 International Coalition. On weekends, you can find her spending time with family and friends on Lake Ouachita or working on a home “DIY” project. Kelsey is passionate about serving Arkansas, growing communities, and creating exciting new opportunities in her home state.
