Jeanne Roepcke was born in Batesville, Arkansas. As a graduate of Batesville High School she went on to earn her BA from LYON College in Batesville. Although Jeanne is the first college graduate in her family, she comes from a family of successful individuals and was raised to realize that hard work and determination are just as important as a college degree. Jeanne is in her 21st year as an educator with the Batesville School District. Technology has always been a high priority to Ms. Roepcke. Working for Intel Technologies for 4 years as a senior trainer for Teach to the future, she was able to learn how to integrate technology into the classroom. This experience has been valuable as an EAST Facilitator. Teaching EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technologies), Jeanne interacts daily with her community and the industry in her community through her students. Her students go out into the community and solve real world problems each day using industry grade technology. Partnering with the community is very important to Jeanne. Building community and collaboration throughout Arkansas is an extremely important goal for her.
