Dina Bates is a graduate of two Arkansas universities, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arkansas State University and an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Dina’s education also includes the CPCU, AIS, API and AINS professional designations.
Dina started with Farm Bureau Insurance in July, 1990 and has gained experience throughout the company, having worked in Claims, Underwriting, R & D and IT.
Dina is Vice President – Products & Education Manager. Her responsibilities include managing the development of rates for property lines of business, and collaboration with the Home Office actuarial staff on casualty rates. She and her staff prepare rates, rule and form filings for submission to the Arkansas Insurance Department along with statistical reporting to various sources. They also assist in systems implementation and changes brought about by filings, legislation and company changes.
Dina is active in her local CPCU chapter and serves as the treasurer; serves on the board and finance committee of the Open Arms Shelter, which is a temporary home for abused and neglected children; and is a lay reader for the First United Methodist Church of England.
Dina and her husband Tim live in England, Arkansas. She has one son (Tyler), a stepdaughter (Brittany) and one grandchild (Aubri).
