Ron Petrie is the Transportation Business Team Leader/Partner with Garver, LLC (Fayetteville, Arkansas). After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1991, Ron worked as a design engineer for the Milholland Company from 1991-1998 before accepting a position with the City of Fayetteville where he served as a Staff Engineer and then City Engineer from 1998-2009. Since 2009, Ron has been in his current position with Garver as a Business Team Leader for multiple Transportation Engineering Teams in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Oklahoma becoming a partner in 2012.
Ron has been involved in numerous significant public works projects in Northwest Arkansas including projects such as the Dickson Street Enhancement Project, Don Tyson Parkway Interchange, War Eagle Bridge Rehabilitation Project, Razorback Regional Greenway, Pleasant Grove Interchange Improvements, Fayetteville Kessler Mountain Regional Park and was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Fayetteville Transportation Bond Program.
He has been active in professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Public Works Association (APWA), Amercian Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers in 2013. His civic organization involvement includes service on the Board of Directors of the Christian Orphan Fund, City of Farmington Finance Committee, Farmington First Baptist Church Operations Committee, Farmington High School Mentor, and volunteer baseball coach for the Washington County Civic League. He has been married to Kristi for 26 years and has two sons, Cale (Age 19) and Reid (Age 15) and resides in Farmington, Arkansas.
