Jensyn Hallett currently leads the local relations strategy for Heifer International, a global nonprofit organization located in Little Rock, Arkansas, with a mission to work with communities to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Jensyn has experience in resource and business development – building strategic partnerships to create meaningful change and developing innovative plans for sustainable revenue, involving a wide range of local, national, and international funders.
A native of Arkansas, Jensyn earned her Master’s degree in Community and Economic Development at the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to joining Heifer, she completed two terms of AmeriCorps service with a focus on women’s empowerment and continued in community development with organizations such as St. Joseph Health System, the Network for a Healthy California, and Catholic Charities.
She is passionate about women’s leadership development, diversity & inclusivity, and health. Not only is she involved with multiple organizations in the community to support these efforts, but she also coaches women in the Central Arkansas region.
Outside of work, Jensyn enjoys outdoor activities, such as gardening, hiking, and kayaking, as well as live music, hosting events, and DIY projects that include wine-, beer-, and cheese-making.
