Jacob Coleman was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is proud to be part of the Coleman Dairy heritage. Growing up surrounded by the family business led Jacob to pursue a business degree from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. After graduation, he spent a short time in the financial field, which he ultimately found to be unfulfilling. Jacob decided to attend law school, where he was introduced to the world of non-profit. He started his non-profit journey during his second semester of law school at The First Tee of Central Arkansas.
An organization close to his heart, The First Tee of Central Arkansas is located near his childhood home in southwest Little Rock, and delivers programming on golf courses, in schools, and at youth centers. The First Tee programming uses golf to teach kids about core values, while creating positive relationships that inspire young people to discover their individual potential. Upon graduation from the William H. Bowen School of Law, Jacob worked to form a new position with The First Tee, so he could continue his professional growth within the organization, as well as continue to impact the youth of central Arkansas. As Director of Business Development, Jacob helped The First Tee of Central Arkansas grow to reach over 8,300 children in 2016, a 300% increase across the last 4 years. In his spare time, Jacob is an active member of The Hat Club, a local philanthropic organization. He also enjoys spending time with his family, and partaking in as many sporting events as possible.
