Olin Ericksen is a Senior Director supporting the Walmart Brand and Merchandise Team at Mitchell Communications in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In his five years managing the account, he has led media campaigns including Back-to-School, Holiday and a wide range of product and services launches for Walmart and Walmart.com. The launch of halo brands that range from high-tech (iPhones) to the delicious (Wild Oats and return of Hostess products); and disruptive services like Walmart-2-Walmart, the expansion of Grocery Home Shopping, and launch of Walmart Care Clinics.
Before joining Mitchell, Olin worked for a marketing and PR agency in Virginia, where his clients included the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and the University of Virginia Health System. He worked for nearly a decade as a print journalist for publications in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Charlotte, N.C., and Charlottesville, VA.
Olin has served as a mentor to the ARK Challenge. A full member of the Global Accelerator Network, The ARK is a mentorship-driven business accelerator program for technology startups serving the retail/logistics industries for Northwest Arkansas and finance IT/health IT/government services in Central Arkansas.
When not working tirelessly for clients or at home spending time with his family, he enjoys live music and anything involving the outdoors including running, cycling, hiking, backpacking, kayaking and surfing when he can get to a beach. He lives in Fayetteville with his wife Ashley, daughter Lylia (4) and his two-year old son, Beckett.
Olin earned a bachelor’s degree in politics from Hendrix College and has completed coursework in journalism from San Francisco State University.
